DUBAI - The lowest offer made in Egyptian state grain buyer GASC's wheat tender on Thursday was at $198.35 a tonne free-on-board (FOB) for 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat.

The offer was made by trading firm Olam.

GASC is due to announce results of the tender competition later on Thursday.

Egypt, the world's largest wheat buyer, is seeking cargoes for shipment in the period Dec. 1-10.

Traders said the following offers were made in the tender in dollars per tonne on an FOB basis:

*Olam: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $198.35

*Union: 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $198.98

*GTCS: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $200 and 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $201 and 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $199

*Aston: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $200.45

*Daewoo: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $200.70

*ADM: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $201.55 and/or 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $199.55

*Garant Logistics: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $202.90

*Cofco: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $204.99

*Solaris: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $209

*Cargill: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $205.55

*ADM: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $206.50

*Cofco: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $208.99

*Casillo: 60,000 tonnes of French wheat at $205.23
