Dubai (United Arab Emirates) – In an effort to recognize the extreme determination and hard work during the COVID-19 pandemic, BIRKENSTOCK - local partner APPAREL GROUP - has donated 200 pairs of Birkenstock sandals to the frontline employees of Medcare Hospitals & Medical Centres who continue to perform exceptional work every day.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all healthcare workers across the UAE who have worked long hour shifts in hospitals to save patients who were infected with coronavirus. Medcare employs over 700 frontline staff who have worked diligently, and with enormous effort to care for patients and support the country’s fight against the Coronavirus putting others care, first, always. It is in that respect that Birkenstock wanted to give a gesture of appreciation by giving the frontliners at Medcare the gift of comfort in the form of a pair of EVA sandals to wear after a long shift.
Now more than ever, healthcare workers need support, and a simple act of presenting a gift is one way BIRKENSTOCK can show their appreciation of the healthcare heroes who continue relentlessly to help patients and communities overcome the pandemic challenges through their enormous devotion to their job.
