Muhammad Murtadha Khan, who worked over 50 years at DLD.

Murtadha joined DLD on 31 May 1969, and demonstrated the highest levels of dedication and sincerity, being a role model to his colleagues to fulfil duties in the service of DLD during the past five decades. He worked in the surveying department, and was a source of support for all his colleagues at DLD by working with a team-spirit, allowing others to benefit from his long and accumulated experience.

HE Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director General of DLD, said: “We are pleased to honour a dear colleague who belongs to the first generation of our cadres whom we are proud of their accomplishments and keeping pace with DLD’s story and development. We are pleased to express our great appreciation to Murtadha for the great services he provided to DLD over the past five decades. He was a good example for the employees who worked at DLD as he was fully prepared to support everyone with his experiences, and teach them the values of team-spirit.”

Murtadha commented: “It was a story full of many chapters, during which I witnessed all stages of DLD’s development from paper transactions, to the latest digital applications and electronic platforms, in a way that reflects the tremendous progress achieved by the real estate sector in Dubai. As I bid farewell to my colleagues on this day, I feel completely confident that DLD has strong and qualified national cadres that work according to the directives of the UAE’s wise leadership. I believe that each of them will contribute to DLD’s development so it can remain a model for distinguished government performance, and maintain its leadership among its counterparts at the local and regional levels. I will hold beautiful memories of DLD and all of its employees, who I consider my second family.”
