The Saudi Arabia NOC today launched its international campaign to encourage and promote inclusion, equality, and non-discrimination in the build-up to the 20-27 November youth festival. With the mission to encourage opportunities for all youth of all abilities, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Saud invites the world to the United Through Sports World Virtual Youth Festival 2021.

His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz, the President of the National Olympic Committee of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Minister of Sports, is proud that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the host of the United Through Sports World Virtual Youth Festival 2021 and said: “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is opening the doors to unite the world and celebrate. Under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee, International Paralympic Committee, Special Olympics International, AIMS and GAISF.”

“Keeping healthy and active is more important than ever and this festival is a chance for youth to get active, keep connected and have fun. Let us all come together united for the future because the time is now.”

His Royal Highness joins the United Through Sports call to action with and for the youth towards a better world. Over 100 organisations have joined forces to support and be part of the unique World Virtual Youth Festival and despite the global pandemic, this event is growing.

The Kingdom is dedicated to their 2030 vision, which includes athletic endeavours in a strategic framework in which sports is for all promoting inclusion, non-discrimination, and equality. This festival provides an important step towards encouraging health and well-being, as more than two-thirds of the Kingdom’s approximate 35 million people are under the age of 35. Therefore, it is vital to promote healthy lifestyles.

The seven-day event held in celebration of United Nations World Children’s Day will see youth from all abilities across the five continents participate in the Max Fit, Aero Fit, Talent, IPC Inclusive Challenge and the Special Olympics Unified Fitness Challenge, showing their abilities on an equal virtual platform.

Education is a core element of the festival with live interactive workshops, conferences and sessions addressing current sport and global topics. Youthful vibrant and virtual opening and closing ceremonies will showcase youth from around the world and Olympic host cities coming together in solidarity towards the future.

The time is now, as we make a unified call for action and where we must work together to find ways to give opportunity to all the youth of the world.

The National Olympic Committee of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is proud to have this important cooperation with United Through Sports and are thankful to each and everyone who is contributing towards this common goal.
