Dubai: UAE-based Merint has announced that its first-ever India-based project is ready to be occupied by residents.

The ultra-luxury project, which took around four years to complete, is located at 219 Boat Club in Pune. The firm described homes at its new project as “the city’s most exclusive address”.

The project houses 10 ultra-luxury boutique apartments, each with its own private pool, priced at $3 million, Merint revealed in a statement.

“Firmly founded on the codes of enhanced living, contemporary minimalism and clarity of detail, each element of 219 Boat Club has been sculpted and selected to create a customized canvas of experience,” commented Ayesha Contractor, senior project manager at Atkins.

Dubai-based Merint is also planning to invest around $100 million to develop a luxury villa project in the hills overlooking lakes and valleys near Lonavla, which is a hill station located between the cities of Pune and Mumbai.

Around 280 acres of land to be used in this investment has already been acquired, Merint added.

The rising pace of urbanisation and the growing attractiveness to non-resident Indians (NRIs) seeking investment options has resulted in major growing interest in high-end luxury housing.

“We recognise this trend and were always keen to ride the wave but not through just another residential tower," stated Merint founder and CEO Fazal Manekia.

Merint currently has of?ces in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Poland, and India.
