ABU DHABI, 23rd January, 2017 (WAM) Forty-eight new judges and prosecutors, including 13 Emiratis, took the oath today in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Judicial Department.

Following the swearing-in ceremony, H.H. Sheikh Mansour said the UAE had built its security and social stability on justice and the rule of law, leading it to become one of the worlds most competitive countries and a coveted destination for foreign investment.

H.H. Sheikh Mansour also conveyed to the new judges and prosecutors the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his wishes that they should succeed in exercising their duties under the umbrella of justice and respect for human rights.

The new judges and prosecutors thanked the President for his confidence in them, and vowed to enforce the law and promote access to justice for all.

Chancellor Yosfuf Saeed Alabri, Undersecretary of Abu Dhabi Judicial Department; Chancellor Ali Mohammed Alblooshi, Abu Dhabi Attorney General, and Chancellor Ali Al Shaer Al Dhaheri, Director of Judicial Inspection, were also present at the swearing-in ceremony.
