Sharjah has announced the opening of the Kalba Mall, a key retail development in the emirate located close to the Mangroves Reserve and the Kalba Corniche and other government and university buildings.

Sitting on a 22,804 sq m area, the Kalba Mall houses 38 shops and 10 kiosks, a cinema hall, a sports club and an entertainment area that can accommodate 600 visitors in addition to 318 parking spaces.

It was inaugurated by HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah on Wednesday.

Unveiling the commemorative plaque to mark the official opening, he toured the facilities and sections of the mall, listening to a briefing on the centre’s project stages and the outlets and services the mall provides to the visitors. Sheikh Sultan later inspected the Sharjah Cooperative Society branch.

The logo of the Kalba Mall has been inspired by the evergreen mangrove tree due to its environmental significance and its role in providing the appropriate environment for the reproduction of several species of living organisms.-TradeArabia News Service
