Etihad Etisalat “Mobily”, represented by CEO Eng. Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Badran, was elected member of the Board of Directors of SAMENA Telecommunication Council for the period 2020-2022. SAMENA Board of Directors includes various companies present in more than 25 countries.

Mobily had participated in the conference on the Convergence of telecommunications technologies held in Bahrain on 6 Feb 2020. The event was organized by SAMENA Communications Council and the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in Bahrain to discuss 5G technologies, IoT, and set the digital vision for the region with the participation of experts from the ICT sector.

The General Assembly meeting of the SAMENA Telecommunication Council members was held alongside the conference, and voted Mobily member of Board of Directors for the period 2020-2022. Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Badran will represent Mobily’s seat on the board.

SAMENA Telecommunications Council is tri-regional, non-profit industry association spanning more than 25 countries. It represents the interests of more than 85 telecom operators and service providers in the fixed and mobile space, and stakeholders from the wider digital ecosystem, including technology, equipment and software manufacturers, internet companies, consulting companies, academia and regulatory authorities.
