Muscat: A hospital in Oman which was reportedly closed recently by inspection teams from Muscat Municipality has clarified the matter, saying they are open for patients at all times.

“In connection to the news in circulation by various publications and social media pages regarding the closure of Badr Al Sama’a Hospital, Al Khoud, we would like to state that the news was wrongly quoted and we were fully operational for normal and emergency healthcare services at all the times,” said the hospital in a statement.

“During an inspection by Muscat Municipality (MM) to limit the crowd, we were asked to limit the entry from two doors instead of three,” added Badr Al Sama’a. “We took some corrective actions immediately, as suggested by MM, and immediately the third door was also allowed to be opened. We are highly thankful to Muscat Municipality for their guidance and support.”

Badr Al Samaa Hospital, Al Khoud, would like to inform patients that they are available with all healthcare services in a safe environment governed by the laid protocols.

“Thank you for always trusting in us for your healthcare needs,” added the hospital.
