DUBAI- Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, President of Zayed University, has congratulated H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, on behalf of the University, for being recently receiving the Family Advocate Award by the World Family Organisation.

Sheikha Lubna said that this significant international achievement represents a global recognition of the leading and unique roles undertaken by the Mother of the UAE in supporting the family and strengthening its responsibility as a key contributor to the advancement of the community. She added that it is also an honour to the UAE community, as the supreme model of family stability represents the coherence, integration and solidarity among its different segments and members.

She added that the great role of the Mother of the UAE in encouraging Emirati women to advance and occupy leading positions in the world through their main role in taking care of children, as well as maintaining the stability and solidarity of their families. This is within a framework of tolerance, original Arab values and strong identification with the nation, in addition to positive interaction with the modern eras developments, which have made the Emirati family a national and human successful experience, she continued.

Sheikha Lubna highlighted the meaning of the directives of Sheikha Fatima to launch the "Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak International Family Award" during the World Family Organisation Summit, in cooperation with the Family Development Foundation, as well as her directives to make the award an important platform to highlight successful family experiences and practices on the international level.

She went on to say that this award promotes the importance of supporting families. Highlighting the significance of families, Sheikha Lubna urged relevant international organisations to prioritise family affairs.
