Dubai-UAE: – Dubai Industrial Park (DI), a designated district within Dubai Wholesale City (DWSC), honored 10 of its business partners for their outstanding achievements in 2017 during Dubai Wholesale City’s annual gala dinner.
The exclusive event at Dubai Opera drew the participation of Abdulla Belhoul, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Wholesale City, Saud Abu Al-Shawareb, Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Industrial Park, as well as the Park’s business partners, senior associates, and other stakeholders. In the course of the evening, Dubai Wholesale City leadership shared its vision for the industrial sector in light of the rapid developments of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
In his welcome speech, Abdulla Belhoul shared with the attendees on the milestones that Dubai Wholesale City marked in 2017, stressing the important role of its two main components – Dubai Industrial Park and Dubai Food Park – in raising the contribution of non-oil sectors to Dubai’s GDP as well as in supporting the UAE’s economic diversification strategy.
Addressing the guests, he said: “As a Dubai Industrial Strategy taskforce leader, Dubai Industrial Park has made significant efforts in the first phase of construction to lay a solid foundation for future development. In this context, our unwavering commitment to catering to your ever-evolving needs stems from our deeply rooted conviction that our success depends on your success.”
Highlighting the progress Dubai Industrial Park’s partners achieved in 2017, Saud Abu Al-Shawareb said: “Dubai Industrial Park seeks to leverage Dubai’s unique business ecosystem to its full potential and play an integral part in driving the city’s socio-economic growth and the implementation of the Dubai Industrial Strategy 2030. The next frontier is diversifying the Park’s portfolio in a collaborative effort involving all stakeholders. Through reinforcing our already robust community, we can enable all our partners to achieve outstanding results.”
During a special award ceremony, Dubai Industrial Park recognized key initiatives and achievements of its business partners in 2017. DuBox received the Innovative Technology award, Unilever picked up the Best Environment-friendly Facility award, and MAM Foodco dominated the Best Factory Design category. Meanwhile, Jebel Ali Police Station, Barakat, Dulsco, and Almarai shared the Corporate Social Responsibility award. Patchi won recognition for being the first among Dubai Industrial Park’s business partners to obtain a halal certification. In addition, the Park acknowledged CONMIX as its first factory and Lesso Logistics Hub as its 100thfactory.
