Acer showcased the Acer Swift 5 – the lightest 15.6” notebook in the world, for the first time in the region

Dubai, UAE: Acer Middle East recently held its annual ‘Acer Partner Week’, during GITEX Technology Week. During the 10th edition of the event, the company hosted its regional partners and showcased its latest range of products, held meetings to hear from partners as well as shared business updates and outlook for the region.

At the event, Acer announced its consolidated revenues for the third quarter of 2018 at NT$65.33 billion, up 7.8% YoY, and up 11.7% over the previous quarter. In the UAE, Acer’s revenue grew YTD by 24%, in Saudi Arabia by 21% & GCC by 52%. Products that were key to the growth in sales included Acer’s Chromebooks, ultra-thin line-up & gaming range.

During Partner Week, Acer and partners discussed market trends, challenges and how to overcome these and grow, and how the brand will be marketing their products in the region across the gaming, thin & light, education & commercial product segments.

Acer Swift 5 – The lightest 15.6” notebook in the world

Designed for customers who want an envy-inducing PC, the Swift 5 (SF515-51T) delivers exceptional performance in an elegant chassis that weighs less than one kilogram (990 g/2.2 pounds). The Swift 5 features a full HD 1920x1080 15.6” IPS touchscreen with ultra-narrow bezels, giving it an incredible 87.6% screen-to-body ratio to create an immersive viewing experience. The Acer Swift 5 15.6” will be available in MEA in Q1 2019, starting at AED 4,699.

Acer Predator Orion 9000 and 5000 Gaming Desktops
