ABU DHABI - The Facility Management Division of Abu Dhabi General Services Company 'Musanada' has carried out maintenance of 120,000 assets belonging to 1,000 buildings for 31 government clients across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra region, totaling AED468 million.

Helal Al Blooshi, Musanada’s Acting Executive Director of Facility Management Division, FMD, said that company's call centre receives on a monthly basis over 16,000 service requests which are delivered to various entities to keep up with the development programmes in line with the UAE's leadership vision.

"The division will launch in the period ahead the ‘Automated Buildings’ or ‘Buildings Remote Control’ initiative," Al Blooshi stated. "The initiative will deliver added value, enhance operational efficiency, reduce repair, replacement, maintenance and energy consumption ratios, besides remotely monitoring the condition and operational efficiency of assets on a continuous basis across the relevant facilities and buildings, to ensure preservation, enhanced efficiency and sustainability of these assets." FMD recently completed AED1.7 million ADM Lifts Maintenance and Renovation Project in Abu Dhabi City Municipality main building, developing a total of 17 lifts.

The division is also undertaking AED630,000 Villa 2 Rehabilitation Project for the Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi, which is expected to be completed by the end of the current month as per the approved schedule. It is also working on an AED1.5 million project at Abu Dhabi Centre of Zayed Higher Organisation for Humanitarian Care, which includes replacement of false ceilings and use of the LED system for energy conservation.

FMD has also completed AED41 million work orders during 2018 for a number of government facilities. It is currently maintaining operations covering 672 government facilities, including Qasr Al Muwaiji, Al Jahili Fort, Manarat Al Saadiyat, Al Ain City Municipality, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, Qasr Al Hosn, Abu Dhabi City Municipality, Al Raha Beach Theatre, Al Dhafra City Municipality, Zayed Higher Organisation for Humanitarian Care, Family Development Centres, as well as other government departments.
