Dubai: As we enter the Holy Month, Festival Plaza, part of Al-Futtaim Malls, is partnering with the UAE Food Bank to ensure people in need get the food they need this Ramadan. In line with its vision of bringing the community into all that it does, Festival Plaza is offering foodies a unique way to give back this year.

Throughout Ramadan, for every person that enjoys an Iftar in one of Festival Plaza’s participating restaurants at the ‘Iftar for Good: Dinner Series, the community mall will donate one meal to the UAE Food Bank. Restaurants that will be serving special Iftar menus on Thursday evenings throughout Ramadan include Sumo Sushi and Bento (15th),  Dennys (22nd), Famous Daves (22nd), Tony Roma’s (29th), Peppermill (29th) and Zaatar W Zeit (6th May) for customers to enjoy in the knowledge that they are also giving back. These are limited time, one -off events hosted every Thursday during Iftar time.

Iman Ali Al Bastaki – Head of Food Safety Department and member of the UAE Food Bank committee at UAE Food Bank said, “Ramadan has always been the month of giving and it is our pleasure to be partnering with Festival Plaza who share our passion for helping others. With Festival Plaza’s wide food offering, it makes this a perfect collaboration for customers to be able to enjoy their meals while also providing for those in need.”

Located at Jebel Ali, Festival Plaza is within close proximity of Al Furjan and Jebel Ali Village as well as minutes away from Marina, The Palm, JLT, Jumeirah Park and Islands, Tecom and Discovery Gardens. The mall is also offering further rewards during the festive month. Customers that dine at any participating restaurant until 16th May at Festival Plaza this Ramadan can enter the draw to win AED 10,000 weekly in Festival Rewards Cash Credit. Guests can win cash credit on the Festival Rewards application, where 40 winners will be announced weekly and a total of 40,000AED will be given away throughout Ramadan. The cash vouchers can be used at participating outlets at Festival Plaza for groceries from Lulu Hypermarket, home improvements from ACE, KARE or Pan Emirates, accessories from Damas and Jawhara and more. It’s a great opportunity to win back cash to spend on more Iftars or shopping and gifts for Eid.  There are also plenty of offers this Ramadan and Eid at Festival Plaza, Jebel Ali all available on dubaifestivalplaza.com

Speaking ahead of Ramadan, David Huesser, Director of Asset Management at Festival Plaza had this to say: “We are a destination that is part of a brand that stands for community, so for the month of giving we wanted to find a way to truly involve them in our activity. We will continue to provide exceptional experiences for our customers as they celebrate the spirit of Ramadan with us in a safe and convenient environment.”
