UAE - The Dubai Government Workshop (DGW) honored its outstanding employees in a ceremony held recently under the theme ‘Towards the next 50 years.’ The Workshop yearly holds the event to recognize its distinguished staff who have consistently shown exemplary work performance and greatly contributed to the organization’s overall operational efficiency, in line with the UAE’s initiative to bring happiness to the people and promote the welfare of local society. The celebration this year highlighted the employees’ pivotal role in DGW’s readiness towards the next 50 years as it bids to continue to exceed the expectations of its customers.

In his speech, H.E. Fahad Ahmed Al-Raeesi, CEO of DGW, said that celebrating the accomplishments, successes, and professionalism of all the employees has become an annual tradition in the organization. H.E. also noted that DGW’s achievements are the result of its employees’ hard work and contributions as well as its clear strategy inspired by the Dubai Government’s aspiration to provide world-class and state-of-the-art customer services.

“We will continue to honor our outstanding employees and recognize their achievements and contributions. This reflects how much DGW cherishes all its employees, who are an integral part of the organization, and how it always looks after their welfare and prosperity. Besides celebrating their successes, the Workshop also remains committed to fostering camaraderie and unity within our teams and building a happy and positive work environment where they can thrive and be more creative,” H.E Al-Raeesi said.

He added: “Further, our celebration this year showcased DGW’s development and modernization plans as we continue in our journey that started 50 years ago. In the next 50 years, we will lay down stronger foundation and build more robust cooperation in response to the declaration of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the  UAE and Ruler of Dubai, that has made 2020 the year of preparation for the coming five decades. The UAE, which will be celebrating its Golden Jubilee by then, is now a nation of innovation, tolerance, and creativity -- an embodiment of the aspirations of our founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.”

“Today, we look forward to a brighter future, with our loyal team always striving to provide the best service. We are armed with confidence, positive energy, and belief in our collective efforts and excellent minds. Inspired by our leaders who aim to bring prosperity to all, DGW will continue to do its best to bring happiness to both our employees and customers while maintaining our lead,” H.E Al-Raeesi concluded.

DGW honored 82 outstanding and creative employees along with various teams and departments. Loyalty awards were granted to employees with 25 years of service, while special recognitions were bestowed on anonymous heroes for their astounding achievements and those who recently received their degrees and certificates.
