Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Fitbit is returning as the Official Health and Wellness Partner of the fifth edition of Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) 2021, which will include a month-long calendar of socially distanced physical events, sports, and health and wellness activities that will take place across the city from 29 October – 27 November 2021.

For the third consecutive year, Fitbit is calling on residents of Dubai to take part in DFC by dedicating 30 minutes daily to their health and wellbeing through exercise at home or DFC challenges and activities.

WHERE: Fitbit will be present at Kite Beach Fitness Village for the duration of the Challenge. The popular rebounder area will once again be in place, where participants can achieve their daily 30-minute activity goal by joining a fun and socially distanced trampoline class. Fitbit will also be organising a Climb Together challenge at the village, during which participants will be challenged to a 120-sec stair-climbing workout.

WHY: The pandemic has taken a toll on everyone’s physical and mental wellbeing and normal routines have been disrupted. While this has led to big adjustments, it has also helped us realize we were capable of more than we thought and given a new meaning to being “strong”. At Fitbit, strength has evolved from being in the best shape physically to prioritizing both our mental and physical health, listening to our bodies, and thinking about our health holistically. Fitbit provides a holistic look at how all aspects of health fit together — activity, sleep, nutrition, and mindfulness. Through personalized guidance, content, and insights, users can take control of their wellbeing and as part of DFC, rebuild a routine that works, nurture healthier habits, and make small changes that will have longer-lasting impacts on their overall wellbeing.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Fitbit users looking to carve out a sustainable fitness plan for the month-long Dubai Fitness Challenge and beyond can sign up for DFC via the challenge website and visit the Fitbit zone at the Kite Beach Fitness Village. Participants can also use features on their select Fitbit devices like Active Zone Minutes, Sleep Score, Sleep Stages, and Stress Management Score to help them make an impactful change and guide their DFC journey.

New Fitbit Premium users can also access a 90-day trial of Fitbit Premium[1] which uplevels the Fitbit experience when paired with any Fitbit device. Fitbit Premium delivers personalized insights and advanced analytics about your health and wellness along with a range of 500+ fitness, mindfulness, and nutrition content, motivating games and challenges, guided programs, and a wellness report.

Fitbit will also be offering deals on a range of products to participants at its Kite Beach retail outlet throughout DFC. In support of businesses that are encouraging their employees to participate in the Dubai Fitness Challenge, Fitbit is offering corporate discounts[2] and a complimentary Fitbit Health Solutions dashboard[3] to facilitate and manage team Fitbit challenges.
