KUWAIT CITY: The Indian authorities discussed with the Kuwait counterpart about allowing it flights to operate which will facilitate Indian expats residing in Kuwait who want to return back to their homeland from 10th of August to the 24th of October.

The source confirmed that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation agreed to arrange the proposed flights between the two countries, so that only departing flights from Kuwait to India are permitted for about 1,000 passengers per day of Indian nationality residing in Kuwait also seat shares will be 500 passengers for domestic airlines and 500 passengers for Indian airlines.

The source confirmed that the decision to prevent expats from 31 restricted countries into Kuwait is still in effect, saying that the proposed arrangements with the Indian side are for departure only and does not include arrivals.
