ArabFinance: Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Manar Enaba said the resumption of flights to Taba International Airport is subject to the investors’ contribution until tourism is back to normal, according to the Cabinet’s statement.

Enaba made this announcement during his meeting with investors from Taba and Nuweiba in South Sinai.

The minister also discussed upgrading the infrastructure of the tourism sector in the two towns, in addition to providing financial and logistics assistance to the non-performing investors.

Enaba also discussed the possibility of facilitating permits procedures as well as enhancing transportation to the cities while increasing the services.

South Sinai is among the coastal governorates in which tourism was fully resumed in July. Meanwhile, tourist places are allowed to reopen with only 25% of their capacity to flatten the spread of COVID-19.

Egypt also reopened its airports nationwide to welcome visitors since July 1st.
