KUWAIT CITY: The Kuwaiti authorities have decided to deport the Pakistani actor, identified only as F.A.A., for violating public morals on the social media, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting a security source.

Last September, the Kuwaiti Criminal Court had sentenced FAA to two years imprisonment after convicting him of violating public decency.

The court also ordered the actor to pay 1,000 dinars fine and ordered his deportation after serving the sentence.

The security source said the deportation order is effective despite the higher court’s decision to overturn the verdict.

“The deportation center is expected to determine the date for deportation within 48 hours said the daily quoting a reliable source. FAA who has acted in Kuwait TV serials and stage shows, was arrested in June last year. He was charged with posting a video clip in the social media Snapchat. At the time of arrest he claimed his account was hacked.
