RIYADH The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced the extension of the corrective period for organizing the work of employees of participatory electronic platforms for a period of two months, ending on Sept. 19.

This decision aims to give the participatory electronic platforms and the facilities operating such platforms more time to complete the requirements for implementing the decision regarding correcting their status.

Earlier in February this year, the ministry announced the correction period. It is noteworthy that participatory online platform includes any application or website that acts as an intermediary to facilitate the access of services to the consumer by sharing physical and human assets with individuals.

Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmed Al-Rajhi had issued a directive to limit the direct dealing of electronic participatory platforms with only Saudi workers and not with non-Saudi workers except through their firms where they are working.
