AMMAN — President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) Nael Kabariti on Wednesday met the Deputy Chief of the Mission at the Embassy of Russian Federation in Amman, Ilya Bulgakov, to discuss advancing economic cooperation between the countries.

Kabariti emphasised the need to enhance Jordanian-Russian economic cooperation, notably increasing trade exchange and identifying key sectors in both countries’ markets, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Bulgakov reiterated his country’s keenness to strengthen economic ties with Jordan, mainly through increasing trade exchange and encouraging the private sector to take advantage of the available opportunities and establish investment projects.

He also highlighted Russia’s intentions to invest in the fields of information technology (IT), agriculture and railway.

Talks during the meeting also went over holding a joint Jordanian-Russian-Syrian economic meeting.

Also, on Wednesday, Kabariti discussed with Omani Ambassador Helal Al Mumari mechanisms to advance Jordanian-Omani economic relations, drawing attention to the role of the private sector in this arena.

The Omani diplomat expressed his country’s keenness to improve bilateral economic ties.
