ArabFinance: Some 30,000 vehicle owners applied to replace their old cars with newer nat gas models, the Cabinet said in a statement.

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah el Sisi inaugurated on January 4th the first exhibition showcasing technologies used in converting gasoline-powered vehicles to a bi-fuel system, coming as part of the governments car transition plan.

The Central Bank of Egypt is committing about EGP 60 billion to fund the three phases of the auto natural gas conversion scheme.

The national plan targets 250,000 private cars, taxis, and microbuses during the first phase.
