ISNR 2016 Drives Global Homeland Security Market Growth, Set to Double to USD 500 Billion to 2022

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - The International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience (ISNR) 2016 Abu Dhabi will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, organizers announced today.

Now in its seventh edition, ISNR will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 15-17 March 2016.

HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, said: "The international exhibition for national security and resilience, ISNR Abu Dhabi 2016, now in its seventh edition, comes from the interest of senior leadership to organize specialized, international exhibitions, according to the best international standards, and constantly aims to provide all the possible ways to establish security, stability, and daily lives. Security is one of the main pillars of stability, progress, and prosperity, and helps to achieve the visionary leadership to which we aspire, and make the UAE one of the world's leading countries in making the world safer and more stable.

"The exhibition represents a valuable opportunity for all regional governments, and public and private sector organizations in safety and security, to meet and exchange experiences with participants and exhibitors, and to see the latest new technologies in the fields of security, safety, combatting crime, and warding off risks," added HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

A recent Frost & Sullivan report projects the Middle East homeland security market to grow at three times the pace of the global average. This growth is driven by economic diversification, large-scale infrastructure developments such as the Midfield Terminal Complex at Abu Dhabi International Airport, which is expected to handle 30 million passengers per year and 8,500 passengers per hours, as well as regional mega-events, such as the Dubai Expo 2020 in the UAE, and the FIFA World Cup Final 2022 in Qatar.

Homeland security spending broadly encompasses investment in support of:  emergency response and disaster management; border security for land, sea, and air; law enforcement and crowd management; critical infrastructure protection; transportation security; bio defense; and cyber security.

It is expected that the value of the national security market in the Middle East will reach USD 34 billion annually by 2020.

His Excellency Major General Dr Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Deputy Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee, ISNR 2016, said: "The Middle East's homeland security market will see a compound annual growth rate of 18.7 percent, and reaching USD 34 billion per year by 2020, a growth rate that is three times higher than the global average. This growth is not reflective of worsening security situations, but rather a positive foundation for countries enhancing their security and resilience. ISNR 2016 is the third largest homeland security event in the world, and that regional mega-events will drive regional infrastructure investment to USD 700 billion in total to 2020. These investments include residential and commercial construction projects, and transportation and public services projects, all of which are vital and require advanced protection and security solutions."

His Excellency Major General Dr Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi added that ISNR 2016 is a comprehensive platform for countries from around the world to meet under one roof, and experience the latest homeland security solutions, and drive business deals.

In its seventh edition, ISNR 2016 is the hub for three dedicated platforms including the newly launched Infosecurity Middle East and Emergency Response & Disaster Prevention events. The region's number one international exhibition for national security and resilience, ISNR Abu Dhabi will also host two co-located events: Fire Fighting Middle East and Occupational Safety and Health Middle East.

Meline Eolmezian-Soulie, Group Exhibition Director - Security and Safety, Reed Exhibitions, said: "There is strong interest in the continued development of new security solutions, which can improve homeland security, reduce the potential for disasters, and enhance the response rates for emergencies, in light of the new challenges facing the region, and the changing threats that loom on the Middle East's horizon, whether natural threats or man-made."

ISNR 2016 Abu Dhabi is the premier platform that provides access to the latest trends and technologies under one roof. Set to take place over three days at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, ISNR 2016 Abu Dhabi is set to host over 500 exhibitors from 45 countries, with more than 20,000 visitors from more than 90 countries around the world.
