UAE-based building consultancy Mimar Architecture and Engineering has been awarded the design consultancy and supervision contract for a mixed-use tower in Saudi Arabia, a top company official said.

Mohammed Al-Shurafa, Group Vice Chairman and UAE Managing Director told Zawya Projects that the Retal Rise project in Al Khobar comprises of a 26-storey residential tower and 19-storey hotel apartment tower, which would be built over an area of 5,000 square metres.

He said work is underway on the design front and the project is expected to be tendered for construction within six months.

He added that the project would completed in 30 months from start of construction.
