Cairo, Egypt: OLX Egypt, the biggest classified platform in Egypt and noted as the biggest market for OLX Arabia in Middle East and North Africa region, revealed for the first time its insights on the Egyptian market on cars sale, including the top selling car brands for this year. As the company rounds up research results to close the year, it highlights the immense increase in car for sale ads of 89% between January and November 2015 compared to 2014.
OLX Egypt Auto section recorded over 88 million visits between January and November 2015. Korean car brands on OLX Egypt
The Korean car brands recorded the highest number of car ads in OLX Egypt during the same period; Hyundai was the top Korean car brand with (92,383 car ads), while Kia took the second place with (56,580 car ads) and Daewoo was third with (38,124 car ads).
Japanese car brands on OLX Egypt
The Japanese car brands were notable for their presence among the cars on demand on OLX Egypt throughout the year. The top three listed Japanese car brands on are: Mitsubishi (36,385 car ads), Toyota (30,305 car ads) and Nissan (24,950 car ads), hence giving a clear indication about the Egyptians preferences in buying car models and how the car market operates in Egypt.
American car brands on OLX Egypt
The American car brands got its share on OLX Egypt, Chevrolet recorded (47,672 car ads) at the top of the list, followed by Jeep (11,011 car ads) and finally Ford (6,285 car ads).
German car brands on OLX Egypt
In regards to the German car brands: Volkswagen topped the charts with the highest number of car ads (32,722 car ads), followed by BMW (36,098 car ads), then Mercedes-Benz came third with (23,418 car ads).
