To develop youth-focused financial tools, Under EBI's "Shaping the Future" initiative

Cairo, Egypt, March 18-19, 2015 - MasterCard, the Egyptian Banking Institute (EBI) and Child & Youth Finance International (CYFI), recently held a workshop at the Land Mark Hotel entitled 'Child & Youth Friendly Financial Products Development' to encourage Egyptian banks to design innovative products for the youth that encourage financial literacy. The workshop was part of EBI's  "Shaping the Future" initiative, which has a particular focus on driving financial education and literacy for children and youth.

Commenting on the workshop, Magdy Hassan, Country Manager - Egypt, MasterCard, said: "At MasterCard, promoting the responsible use of financial services is something that we strongly believe in.  The youth of Egypt represent the future, and developing new and innovative ways to approach financial literacy is key to engaging and educating them on how to successfully manage their finances.
