20 December 2015
Bahrain based Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA) announced receiving the Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) approval for conducting A320 Simulator Training at its premises in Kingdom of Bahrain on 23rd November 2015.

Being one of the few institutes that have gained this approval in the Indian region, this achievement will attract A320 airline operators and individuals based in India to commence their training at GAA.

Captain Dhaffer Al Abbasi, Chief Executive Officer, of GAA stated "Gulf Aviation Academy is positioning itself in India's aviation market as a credible training partner and is looking forward to support the growing demand of airlines in that region". Penetrating the South Asian market at this stage and building a trust worthy relationship between the academy and the authorities aligns with GAA's strategic plan in forming international connections to better serve a wider range of clients. Known for customizing its training according to the needs of the clients, Captain Al Abbasi was confident that this will be beneficial for both the region and the company as GAA will ensure that the airlines training requirements are met. In August 2014 last year, GAA has received its first approval to conduct Flight Crew Training and evaluation for Indian based EMB 170/190 operators.

Capt. Dhaffer Al Abbasi congratulated all the GAA staff for this achievement and thanked GAA's board of directors, Executive Committee and the Bahrain Civil Aviation for their support in acquiring this prestigious accreditation.
