The value of shares owned by Saudi investors stood at SAR 8.89 trillion last week.

Riyadh – Mubasher: The value of shares owned by foreign investors on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) soared by SAR 310.16 million during the week ended on 17 December 2020 to SAR 207.24 billion when compared to the previous week.

This ownership represented 2.27% of issued shares and 12.71% of free shares, according to data from Tadawul.

Meanwhile, the value of shares owned by qualified investors hiked by SAR 1.17 billion to reach SAR 158.63 billion, representing 1.74% of issued shares and 12.13% of free shares.

As for Gulf investors, ownership rose by SAR 376.38 million to SAR 45.62 billion, representing 0.50% and 2.51% of issued and free shares, respectively.

Moreover, the value of shares owned by Saudi investors stood at SAR 8.89 trillion last week, a weekly drop of SAR 38.64 billion, representing 97.23% of issued shares and 84.78% of free shares.
