Abu Dhabi: Jannah group has decided to open its Burj Al Sarab hotel on Mina Road Abu Dhabi in May 2015 , its general manager has said.

Richard Haddad, also Vice president operations - Abu Dhabi, Jannah Hotels and Resorts, said work is under way to inaugurate the hotel in mid May.

"This hotel will give a strong push to the hotel industry in the emirate given its advanced services and location in the heart of the city," he said.

He said the hotel, a smart 18-level building in a prime location, comprises 318 rooms and suites, and many other facilities and services, including solar technology.

"We expect strong business and high occupancy rates at the hotel following the signing of a number of contracts with our partners in Europe and other countries to attract tourists and guests. Abu Dhabi is attracting a large number of visitors coming to attend conferences, exhibitions, sports, cultural and art events."

Burj Al Sarab manager Lennart Maas said the hotel would offer mini bar services at market prices, the first hotel to do so.

"This is a courtesy for our guests and clients but it will not compromise the quality our services," he said, adding that guests remain a priority for the hotel.

The five-star hotel, overlooking the Gulf water, includes 224 rooms, 66 small suites, 16 executive suites and four royal suites, many restaurants, cafes, SPA, two sport clubs for men and women and other facilities.

Access to the hotel is very easy given its location on Mina Road, which is linked to all other areas including the shopping centre, Yas and Saadiyat Islands, and Abu Dhabi airport.
