Kuwait - The 'Britain in Kuwait' 2015 exhibition is set to take place at the Salwa Sabah Al Ahmad Ballroom under the patronage and in presence of His Highness Sheikh Nasser Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah; from the 15th to the 17th of January, 2015.

The 'Britain in Kuwait' exhibition was established in 1997 to solidify the trade ties between the two nations and reinforce the long standing relationship that joins them together, and continues to grow stronger until this day.

HE Matthew Lodge, British Ambassador to Kuwait said, "The UK Kuwait commercial relationship goes back now 250 years and more.  Today, in the 21st Century, Kuwait is one for the United Kingdom's oldest partners and closest friends in the region.  The British Government is determined to strengthen the relationship between Kuwait and the United Kingdom, and the commercial partnerships that we enjoy are a key part of our cooperation.  But it's not just about British companies doing business in Kuwait, it is also about Kuwait in the UK; Kuwait is one of the largest single investors in Britain.  So, whether you are driving British car, or buying British branded goods in Kuwait, whether you are in the oil and gas sector, or indeed, across the whole range of business, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, engineering, automotive, luxury goods, or retail, the Britain and Kuwait trading relationship is going from strength to strength"

"And as an example of the strength of our relationship, I am also particularly pleased that this year a special guest will also be attending the Britain in Kuwait exhibition.  The Right Honourable the Lord Mayor of London,  Alderman Alan Yarrow, will be visiting the exhibition as part of his official visit to Kuwait, which is taking place over the next few days" added Mr Lodge

"So it is a great privilege to be here today, I am delighted that Britain in Kuwait is taking place again this year and I am delighted to give it my full support." Concluded Mr Lodge.

Zain &  Al Zayani are participating as 'Platinum Sponsors' and a host of other companies are taking part,  including  NBK, British Petroleum, British Airways, Alghanim Travel , Costa Coffee,  East India Tea Company,  The British Council, Orbit/Showtime,  G4 Security, Inchcape Shipping, HCA International , Burlington Stone, British Business Forum,  the British School of Kuwait, Kuwait English School, Kuwait Banking Association and the Kuwait Investment Promotion Office.   A number of exciting activities will take place at the event, with some companies promoting numerous first to market promotions.

On behalf of the organizers, Mr. Ahmed Ismail Behbehani said: "It is a privilege to play a significant role in creating the platform that brings together so many esteemed companies that have contributed greatly to the economy of Kuwait. This event is not only about the companies exhibiting their services, but rather reinforcing their commitment to developing the different sectors across Kuwait".

Following on from Great British Week, which was held in April, 2014, 'Britain in Kuwait' will provide an excellent and high profile start to the series of activities planned to be held in Kuwait during 2015.
