Doha - Amman; February 15, 2015

AlFaisal Without Borders Foundation (ALF) and Jordanian non-profit educational organisation INJAZ signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) and cooperation to run the international educational programme Destination Imagination (DI) (Wajeh Wujhatak) in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Signed by ALF Executive Director Ali Talal Mar'e and INJAZ CEO Deema Bibi in the presence of Abdullatif Ali Al-Yafei, ALF General Manager, and Dr. Amjad Al Aryan, INJAZ Chairman, the MOU reflects what ALF seeks to accomplish both inside and outside Qatar.  Essentially the MOU guarantees that the DI (Wajeh Wujhatak)  program is rolled out in Jordan while protecting ALF's reserved intellectual property rights, as DI's exclusive representative in the Middle East.

Offering financial support, guidance and advanced training to both volunteers and program workers, ALF will oversee and support the implementation of DI (Wajeh Wujhatak) in Jordan; in line with the standards and regulations agreed with the DI organization in the USA.

The DI (Wajeh Wujhatak) program targets various student age groups from kindergarten to university through a wide range of challenges that foster creativity, innovation, self-confidence and teamwork based on specific standards. The challenges are addressed by teams and groups which can be built for each challenge, helping innovation and communication skills to develop and consolidating collaboration and bonding among the students. The purpose of DI (Wajeh Wujhatak) is to help those participating to develop life skills needed in school and later in their professional lives. The global DI Finals are held annually in the US with more than 30 countries participating.

ALF is a charity based in Qatar that promotes sustainable development and improved quality of life for people in Qatar and around the world.  It is a philanthropic not-for-profit organization which partners with governments, key charities and NGOs internationally to run social welfare developments programs in addition to providing humanitarian and aid relief.  Through its mission, ALF focuses on 'giving people something that no-one can take back" to empower people in need regardless of their race, color, culture, religion or social status through projects and initiatives in education, life coaching and training as well as culture.

ALF seeks to align its mission and vision with Qatari values and the country's 2030 vision.

INJAZ was established in 1999 as a USAID-funded project and was re-launched later as an independent non-for-profit Jordanian organization.  IN.JAZ aims to inspire and prepare young people to become productive members of society and to accelerate the development of the national economy. Since inception, INJAZ has been able to reach out to over a million Jordanians from across the kingdom with the help of a dedicated volunteer network and public and private partners.  INJAZ operates in full coordination with the Ministry of Education and the King Abdullah II Fund for Development.
