United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi: As part of its drive to make a difference to and enrich the lives of its communities, Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort has collaborated with Make-A-Wish® UAE to create magical experiences for children with critical illnesses across the region.

As part of the partnership, which kicked off in Ramadan, the hotel granted the wishes of three children and curated a staycation to remember. From luxurious accommodation to delicious Iftars and Suhoors, beachside fun to warm welcoming hospitality, the little ones and their families received the VIP treatment throughout their stay, providing a much-needed respite from the realities of daily life and creating precious memories with those who matter most. The Make A Wish foundation gifted them with their expressed wishes – a brand-new top-of-the-range bicycle, the highly coveted iPhone 11 Pro and a PlayStation 5 complete with action packed games – to make the experience even more memorable.

In addition to hosting the children, Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort went a step further to support the Foundation and make a difference through its dedicated ‘Hummus for Hope’ initiative.  The proceeds from almost 200 orders of the much-loved dish, enjoyed at the hotel’s Levantine favourite Tean and in-room dining throughout Ramadan, were donated directly to the Make a Wish Foundation. This fund will help bring a smile on the faces of children supported by the organisation and enhance their ongoing activities.

Savino Leone, General Manager at Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort, shared: “Jumeirah is known the world over for creating unique and exhilarating experiences that leave a lasting impression on its guests and create precious memories.  Our partnership with Make-A-Wish® UAE is a truly special example of this and one that has brought me and the team great job to be part of. We are delighted to have been able to bring to life the children’s wishes and to create for them an extraordinary experience to share with their families that they’ll never forget. We are also delighted to support the wider efforts of the Foundation through our Hummus for Hope initiative and give our guests the chance to contribute to helping children with critical illnesses in the region.”

Mr. Hani Al Zubaidi, Make-A-Wish Foundation® UAE – CEO, also expressed his appreciation to the property for its efforts, saying: “We are delighted with Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort’s contributions in helping make a wish come true for children with a life-threatening medical condition, providing them with renewed energy and strength.”
