· Modern and Advanced City Over 4,100,000 Square Meters

Abu Dhabi General Services Company "Musanada" revealed that it had completed the execution of the preliminary works in of "Al Manayef" project in the western region, aiming to construct accommodation for employees of government entities in the western region within an integrated city together with full facilities and community services including hospitals, schools, parks and all necessary utilities and facilities.

Musanada stated that its efforts were geared to keep abreast of the comprehensive development witnessed by the western region at present, thanks to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and the directions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the support and follow up of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the western region.

"Musanada is keen to meet the expectations of our prudent leadership who, aspiring to enhance welfare and development across all the regions of the UAE, has paid full attention to the western region, generating integrated plans to develop and grow this region based on a forward-looking vision seeking to achieve sustainable development of the region's resources and economy," stated Eng. Awaidha Murshed Ali Al Marar, Musanada's Acting Chief Executive Officer, "Musanada had already delivered a number of vital projects in the western region besides Al Manayef, such as the shooting club of the court of the ruler's representative, Sila and Ghayathi hospitals, Dar Zayed for humanitarian care, soil improvement project in Al Ruwais new city, Bidaa Al Matawaa residential project, Umm Al Ashatan residential project, as well as other various projects ranging from the provision of technical support and landscaping in Al Ghuwaifat border crossing of Abu Dhabi police general headquarters, to the handover of 400 residential units in Al Marfa houses, besides landscaping and expansion of houses in Al Dhafra Squares, Ghayathi Gardens and many more."

"Construction works are progressing consistently and according to the plan to deliver a modern, integrated and advanced city in line with the steady growth witnessed across the UAE at all levels," stated Eng. Obaid Al Mheiri, Musanada's Infrastructure Director. "Carefully designed and systematic plans are in place to maximize returns to and reflect positively on the largest strata of the local community within that region, to realize tangible achievements that will contribute to the development of the western region and effectively and practically engage in building and maintaining a cohesive community that uphold its genuine values, customs and traditions." 

184 Service and Community Facilities

The works of the project commenced on 16 November 2014 and encompass the construction of 6359 residential units, spanning multi-size villas as well as various residential buildings, 87 service facilities including libraries, public schools, police and civil defense stations, community centers, parks, open spaces, beaches, waterfronts as well as other facilities, in addition to 97 community facilities including private hospitals and clinics, sports centers, retail outlets and hotels.

The project also includes the construction of internal roads as well as utilities and infrastructure comprising a storm water and sewerage network, drinking water network and street lighting. The total area of the project is 4,100,000 square meters while the total areas of the buildings is 2,662,998 square meters.

Modern City Hosting 27,000 Residents

Al Manayef project is divided into 12 construction packages classified according to the type and location of the residential units. The project is expected to be completed in June 2018. The city will be part of the promising modern cities that will effectively contribute to the comprehensive development project in Abu Dhabi due to its strategic location. The city is expected to host approximately 27,000 residents throughout all its areas, with huge and modern infrastructure enabling the city to play an important role in ensuring population stability.
