Muscat: At least 3,000 loans with a value of over OMR 24 million have been granted by the Oman Development Bank branch in Dhofar Governorate during the past five years.

"The number of loans granted by the Oman Development Bank branch in the Governorate of Dhofar during the past five years amounted to 3,465 loans to small, medium and micro enterprises, amounting to OMR 25,773,165.," Oman News Agency (ONA), said in a statement.

Hamad bin Salem Al Harthy, chairman of Finance for Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises and Portfolio Management at the Oman Development Bank, said that the industry sector’s share of loans reached 1,705 loans worth OMR 14,877,456.

The number of loans to the fisheries sector reached 520, with a value of OMR 2,984, 831and the value of the rest of the sectors amounted to OMR 7,910,878.
