Dammam, Saudi Arabia(Napco National News Network) – Saudi-based Napco National will engage with food and beverage customers and other visitors at Gulfood Manufacturing 2018 to address their packaging objectives, from design innovations to environmental sustainability goals, including choice of sustainably-sourced raw materials, lightweighting, and recyclability.

From manufacturing plants in Dammam and Jeddah, Napco National produces and distributes paper, plastic and multi-layer packaging, including bags, barrier films, cone sleeves and ice lolly tubes, labels, lidding, pouches, shrink films, and wraps.

Gulfood Manufacturing is the Middle East’s largest food and beverage processing trade show. Napco National will be located in Hall 3, Booth #A3-20 at Dubai World Trade Center from 6-8 November.

‘Growing Together’ To Meet Packaging Demands

Napco National has adopted the theme ‘Growing Together’ to tell its story of commitment and trust built with customers over six decades, as well as to focus on further developing mutual success.

The theme, which aligns with Saudi Arabia's 2030 Vision, corresponds with Napco’s mission to contribute to the welfare of Saudi Arabia and the GCC communities.

Through advanced research and development, Napco National is innovating packaging to extend shelf life and to reduce food waste in the region, while ensuring shelf appeal, convenience, ease of use, and proper disposability.

Maher Dabbous, Vice President of Sales at Napco Flexible Packaging Division, explains, “We work closely with our customers to envision their packaging of the future to best address their production and brand objectives, while meeting their customers’ demands to keep food fresh and to recycle packaging, where possible.”

Towards a Circular Economy of Plastics

Napco National is committed to supporting Saudi-based food and beverage producers in achieving their environmental sustainability objectives by collecting and regenerating their plastic scrap and, thereby, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and diverting plastics from landfills.

In establishing a circular economy of plastics, Napco National recycles post-industrial stretch and shrink films, as well as other plastic scrap, at their recycling centers in Dammam and Jeddah. The scrap is then reprocessed into recycled resins for other applications. Further, Napco is engaged in addressing issues of national collection, sorting, and recycling of plastic scrap and packaging waste through strategic relationships with government entities and industry associations.
