The officials of Fujairah Municipality and the city of Rotterdam in the Netherlands have signed an agreement in connection with the northern emirate's 'Sustainable Industrial Development Project - Phase Two.

The deal is aimed at implementing a sustainable industrial development plan for Fujairah.

The MoU was signed by Mohammed Saif Al Afkham, Director-General of the Fujairah Municipality, and Ahmed Aboutaleb, Mayor of Rotterdam, in the presence of HH Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah,

Speaking at the signing cermony, Sheikh Hamad said Fujairah was providing all necessary facilities for the investors to support their activities, especially in the energy and environmental sustainability sectors.

Lauding Aboutaleb for the deal, the Fujairah ruler said he was confident that the visit would reinforce the cooperation and friendship between the UAE and the Netherlands.

Later both of them discussed on ways to boost co-operation in various fields and also create economic and investment partnerships.-TradeArabia News Service
