ArabFinance: Egypts cabinet approved a EUR 108 million loan from the African Development Bank (AfDB) to install wastewater utilities near Luxor, the cabinet said in a statement on April 14th.

In March, the Ministry of International Cooperation signed a financing development deal worth EUR 109 million with AfDB to finance sanitation services in residential communities in Luxors rural areas.

Under the deal, AfDB will provide EUR 108 million alongside a EUR 1 million grant through the project, which will benefit 22,000 homes in Luxor.

The financing will go to building on the capacities of workers at the Potable Water and Sanitation Company in Luxor.
