Cairo: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has suspended trading on Global Telecom Holding’s (GTH) stock as of Monday, 22 October, in response to the Financial Regulatory Authority’s (FRA) request.

Trading on the stock will be halted until the FRA released another statement regarding the matter, the EGX said in a statement.

On Sunday, the Egyptian bourse resumed trading on GTH’s stock after the company revealed the invitation of the ordinary general meeting (OGM) and the extraordinary general meeting (EGM).

The OGM will be held on 15 November to extend the maturity date of the $100 million revolving credit facility from VEON, which is due on 30 November, GTH highlighted.

On 14 October, the EGX suspended trading on the stock until the company reveals the fair value (FV) of its assets.
