Zain, the leading digital service provider in Kuwait, announced its participation in the Tenders for Small and Medium Enterprises Forum held at Shaheed Park. The event, which came in strategic sponsorship from Zain, was organized by Emtidad under the patronage of the Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) with the presence of many officials from the public and private sectors.

Zain’s strategic support to this forum came as part of its belief in the crucial role played by private sector organizations in supporting social and economic sustainability projects, as well as further pushing the entrepreneurial community’s growth in the country. Springing from its growing commitment towards practicing its social responsibility, the company is committed to printing a positive print through all its activities. This has led Zain to embrace the most influential issues in the community, including the support of youth, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

Zain Kuwait’s Chief Enterprise Business Officer Hamad Al Marzouq took part in one of the forum’s discussion panels entitled: “Opportunities for Entrepreneurs: providing SME owners with opportunities to take on tenders for government projects”. During the panel, Al Marzouq showcased Zain’s efforts in supporting SMEs in Kuwait by offering them the latest and most advance tech solutions to guarantee the highest levels of business efficiency, productivity, and continuity. Al Marzouq also discussed the importance of partnerships between the private and public sectors in offering suitable opportunities for SME owners.

Al Marzouq affirmed that Zain is well aware of the important role played by Small and Medium Enterprises in achieving economic and social development in Kuwait. The company, being a leading national company in the private sector, is proud to be a main partner of Kuwaiti SMEs in their journey to success. Zain continues to encourage SMEs to enhance their businesses by offering them services and solutions from the biggest service providers around the world.

The Tenders for SMEs Forum featured many panel discussions that mainly aimed at showcasing the Law #74 – 2019 to modify some of the provisions of the Law #49 – 2019 regarding public tenders, which includes the rights of Small and Medium Enterprises owners. The panels also discussed providing SME owners with opportunities to take on tenders for government projects, government support to SMEs from political and economic perspectives, as well as discussing legislative solutions for SME owners along with decision makers and members of the parliament.
