ABHA — The "warm hospitality" initiative launched by Asir Emir Prince Turki Bin Talal under the famous slogan in the southern region "welcome a thousand times", has revived the region's historic sites making them attractive for the tourists.

All cities and towns in the region are now competing to welcome the tourists, guests and vacationers in the old Arab tradition, Makkah newspaper said in a report.

In Dhahran Al-Janoub area, the residents have designed special programs to welcome the guests making them feel at home. They have rediscovered the region's historic sites including Al-Feel (Elephant) Road, the historic villages in Al-Houza and the mountain Al-Mubarah which is replete with historic writings.
