ArabFinance: The Ministry of Health and Population announced 1,218 new coronavirus infections and 63 additional fatalities in Egypt, according to a July 5th statement.

The country recorded a total of 75,253 positive cases since the outbreak of the virus, while the death toll reached 3,343.

Khaled Megahed, the health ministry’s spokesman, said that 623 more patients were discharged from quarantine and isolation hospitals.

He added that this takes the recoveries count to 20,726.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian Medical Syndicate recently stated that 93 of the COVID-19 frontline physicians in Egypt passed away until June 26th.
