The department of human resources in Ras Al Khaimah has launched an initiative to test 3,000 government employees for Covid-19, Al Bayan daily reported on Monday.

The new initiative has been rolled out as the government announced that 50 per cent of its employees should work from offices. The screening will be carried out in cooperation with other government departments and RAK Hospital.

Mohammed Abdul Latif Khalifa, the general director of department of human resources, said that the department has announced specific standards for each department to ensure that working environments are safe, and employees are able to resume work from their offices, while following the necessary precautions.

According to Al Bayan, many departments will allow their employees to work from office again, including the courts and RAK Municipality.
