Saudi citizens, their immediate family members and their domestic staff can now enter the Kingdom by land from Bahrain, Kuwait and the UAE without obtaining prior authorization, a report said.

The easing of restrictions means the King Fahd Causeway connecting Saudi Arabia and Bahrain reopened on Thursday, said an Arab News report.

The Kingdom banned entry by land on March 7 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Only a few travellers — given exemption for humanitarian reasons — have been able to enter the kingdom since the ban.
