ISLAMABAD: Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, has received in his office Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan.

Qureshi expressed his strong condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist attack by the Houthi militia on civil facilities in the UAE. He considered the attack a threat to international peace and security, expressing regret for the civilian casualties, including a Pakistani citizen, due to the cowardly terrorist attack.

He added, "The UAE and Pakistan have solid historical relations, and we reiterate our full solidarity with the UAE in all the measures it takes to preserve the security and safety of its citizens and the sovereignty of its territories."

The Pakistani Foreign Minister also extended his sincere condolences to the families of the victims of this terrorist attack and his wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.

In turn, the UAE Ambassador thanked the minister for the firm Pakistani position, condemnation and sincere solidarity with the UAE and its people with regard to this heinous attack, which is inconsistent with all international norms and laws.
