Dubai: As an enabler of transformative solutions that empower the UAE’s enterprise communities, du, from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), has partnered with Apple to bring the Apple Device Enrolment Program (DEP) to customers across the UAE. This means that users now have access to automated wireless setup and automatic enrolment into the Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) platform of their choice.

‘Efficient, secure device management’

Hany Aly, Executive Vice President - Enterprise Business, du, said: “We at du understand that enterprises in the UAE are always in search of innovative solutions that increase efficiencies and improve their capabilities towards achieving the utmost business growth and continuity. With the introduction of Apple DEP, our enterprise customers now have a genuine solution that will aid configuration, create efficiencies and drive increased autonomy of processes to manage and secure business devices.”

‘Simplified device administration’

With DEP, du customers can now enjoy a fully automated setup, lower deployment costs, and reductions in the need for manual inputs. This means that organisations will benefit from zero touch configuration, increased security, improved user experience, and the centralized control of devices.

Moreover, Apple DEP allows for over-the-air supervision, which allows IT departments to add further restrictions – such as enabling or removing certain apps – remotely, while also preventing users from removing the EMM profile.

The DEP enrolment, which is cost-free for businesses, is part of the Apple Deployment Programs (ADP), which help businesses and educational institutions easily deploy and configure iOS and macOS devices. DEP provides a fast, streamlined way to deploy institutionally owned iPad and iPhone devices and Mac computers.
