Bridge construction near Jordan's Sports City to begin in November

The Greater Amman Municipality will begin construction of concrete bridges as part of the Bus Rapid Transit project packages

AMMAN — The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) will begin construction of concrete bridges within the area of the Sports City Intersection starting in November, as part of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project packages, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

During an inspection tour on Saturday, GAM Mayor Yousef Shawarbeh said that the work at Sweileh Station, at which the completion rate of the project has reached 11 per cent, is on schedule, Petra, added.

He also instructed the concerned agencies to cooperate and coordinate with each other to expedite the transfer of services, acquisition and the participation of GAM staff to gain experience, and cooperation and exchange of experiences with the Jordanian Geologists Association, the Jordanian Engineers Association and the University of Jordan.
