Berlin - The Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism, His Excellency Mr. Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, held talks with his Omani counterpart, Mr. Ahmed bin Nasser Al Mehrzi during ITB held in Berlin. The meeting discussed further developing tourism ties between both countries.

A meeting was also held with the Egyptian Minster of Tourism, H.E Mr. Yehya Rashid, during the Minister’s visit to Egypt’s pavilion at the exhibition, where they discussed strengthening intra-regional tourism and the possibility of launching routes to Sharm Al Shaikh in Egypt.

The meetings were held in the presence of H.E Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa, the Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority. During the exhibition, BTEA worked on promoting the Kingdom as a touristic destination and showcase its strategy in stimulating intra-regional tourism and attract more visitors.

The Bahrain pavilion was also visited by the Jordanian Minister of Tourism, Mrs. Lina Annab, where she met the Bahraini Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism and the CEO of BTEA who revealed the authority’s overall strategy to market and promote the tourism brand 'Ours Yours' which aims to promote the Kingdom of Bahrain as the ideal tourism destination to the regional and international markets further positioning the Tourism industry as a main contributor to the overall economic growth synonymous to the Economic Vision 2030.

ITB Berlin is considered as the main European trade tourism show running from March 8 to 12 2017 where Bahrain participates for the second year in a row to further promote the Kingdom as the ideal tourism destination.
