Cairo – Mubasher: Telecom Egypt reported consolidated net profits of EGP 6.1 billion in the first nine months of 2021, a surge of 72.5% year-on-year (YoY) from EGP 3.53 billion, including minority shareholders' rights.

The revenues grew to EGP 26.38 billion in the January-September period, compared to EGP 22.35 billion in the year-ago period, the telecom operator said in a bourse disclosure on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the standalone net profits hiked to EGP 6.27 billion in the nine-month period ended 30 September from EGP 1.85 billion in the corresponding period a year earlier.

As for the third quarter (Q3) of 2021, the company logged consolidated net profits of EGP 2.23 billion, compared to EGP 1.47 billion in Q3-20, including minority shareholders' rights.

In the first half (H1) of 2021, Telecom Egypt reported consolidated net profits of EGP 3.87 billion, up from EGP 2.06 billion in H1-20, including minority shareholders' rights.
