HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi has said that the ministry has developed a strategic plan to preserve and protect the Qatari environment. In remarks on the occasion of Qatar Environment Day, which is celebrated on February 26, the minister referred to the enactment of many laws and regulations that contribute to the preservation of the environment in Qatar. He noted that dedicating a day for the environment proves that the wise leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani is keen on preserving the Qatari environment and natural resources.
He explained that the ministry is implementing plans and programmes aimed at enhancing plantation development and increasing the green areas.
