15 January 2017, UAE: Standard Chartered has appointed Souad Benkredda as Head of Financial Markets, UAE. Souad will report directly to Rahil Taneja, Regional Head, Financial Markets, Africa and Middle East (AME) with a secondary reporting line into Mohamed Salama, Global Banking Head, UAE. Souad will be based in Dubai and will be a member of the Bank’s AME Financial Markets Management Team as well as the UAE Country Management Team. Her appointment is effective immediately.
Souad joins the Bank from Deutsche Bank where she was Managing Director in the Corporate Banking and Securities Division in London with responsibility for originating markets transactions for large corporations in Europe. Souad has held different positions both as a product specialist in sales and trading as well as in client coverage in London, Middle East and North Africa. Prior to her MENA role, she was responsible for Liability Rates Structuring in Europe.
Souad holds a Master in Economic Science from the University of Paris Dauphine IX (“Maitrise en Sciences de Gestion”) and a Master in Business Administration (“Diplom Kauffrau”) from the University of Frankfurt Main with a specialisation in Financial Engineering.
